Working Groups

The purpose of the Forum's four Working Groups is to produce concrete proposals on how specific areas within the pharmaceutical sector can be enhanced. All Working Group members are pharmacists and each group is chaired by a pharmacist.

Working Group One: Pharmacy - the Hub for Healthcare
Chaired by Rosa Navarro, this working group is focused on the key role of the pharmacy within the healthcare sector.

Working Group Two: The Pharmacy-Patient relationship
Chaired by Andy Parker and looking at the relationship between pharmacists and their patients

Working Group Three: European Healthcare Policy
Chaired by Giancarlo Visini and focused on public affairs issues, exploring how the sector can communicate more effectively with its audiences

Working Group Four: Services linking Manufacturers to the Pharmacy
Chaired by Joao Silveira and analysing the relationship between pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers and pharmacists to optimise management of the supply chain

Achievements of the Working Groups include an anti-smoking initiative, a diabetes project and a move to strengthen the role of the pharmacy in OTC distribution through team building and category management.
