Focus on diabetes at Marrakech Seminar

The European Pharmacists Forum held its last seminar of 2004 in Marrakech, Morocco. Members from several pharmaceutical manufacturers (Roche, Becton & Dickinson, Sanofi) attended the event, in particular to make presentations on the treatment of diabetes as well as on the development of cooperation with pharmacists and the Group within this field.

Ornella Barra, AU Group Services Director directed the seminar activity. Ralph Ahrbeck, Director of Commercial Affairs, Alain Aubard, Senior Executive, European Pharmacy Services, and Yves Romestan, Director of Group Communications were also present. The seminar opened with an exchange of views with the Alliance Santé Management Team, which was largely devoted to the support of home care patients and the role played by pharmacists - a theme which will be the main subject of the next European Pharmacists Forum that will be take place on 22 & 23 February in France.

During the meeting in Marrakech, the Members of European Pharmacists Forum agreed to launch new communications tools in 2005, including a quarterly newsletter, "Forum".
