The Round Table is being organised alongside the second seminar of the EPF in 2005, at which EPF members will elect a new President and Vice-President. The first seminar was held in Paris in February, and further meetings of the Forum are to be held later in the year in the UK (12-13 September) and Italy (30 November - 1 December).

Participants will include Jean-Etienne Martineau, President of the European Pharmacists Forum; Ornella Barra, Executive Director of Alliance UniChem; Elvire Kuyck, Vice-President of the EPF; Marga van Weelden, Chairman of the Royal Dutch Association of Pharmacists; Wilko van Amelsfort, member of the board of the Kring pharmacy network; Prof. Jan Raaijmakers of GlaxoSmithKline and Jacques Waterval of the DocMorris internet pharmacy company, as well as Dr Wim Wientjens of the Dutch Diabetes Patients' Association DVN and Sjaak de Vries, Alliance UniChem country manager for the Netherlands. The Round Table will be moderated by Prof. Bert Leufkens of the University of Utrecht.

A large number of pharmacists and senior representatives of pharmaceutical manufacturers, as well as members of the press, are expected to attend the event.
